When Christmas comes it can be a little difficult to find hot gift ideas for men. Men are extremely difficult to buy for at the best of times.

If you're really stuck here's one idea that will work for almost all men. Homemade candy. If you're a little handy in the kitchen homemade candy is extremely easy to make, with some exceptions, and it makes a great gift idea for a man for Christmas or any other gift time.

If you make some great food for him, like candy, you've put some of yourself into the gift. You've taken the time and made the effort to put some love into your gift. It's so easy to just head down to the candy store and buy some candy, but homemade candy is so much better. It's made purely for him, from you.

And just about everyone loves candy, me included. I love to eat candy and I love to make candy. Well I love to cook generally.

Homemade candy, or any other homemade yummy, is a great way to put a bit of yourself into his Christmas gift. So make him some great candy this year.

If you're stuck for a recipe here's a good website about homemade candy recipes , but there's plenty more. Try and start with a simple recipe and work up to the harder stuff once you've tried a few. Stay away from recipes that require you to simmer water with sugar to a certain temperature, that takes time to master. Start simple and give him some great homemade candy for Christmas.

He'll love his candy from you.

Are Mens Skin Care Products A Good Gift...

What about mens skin care products as a gift? It's a bit problematical isn't it, after all not that many men use skin care products do they?

I don't. However I think it's a bit like mens wedding rings, it's catching on fast.

I've read a bit about it in the last few days and have begun to wonder if the modern man would like a gift of skincare products.

However I didn't know, until I started reading, that many regular skincare products contain harmful ingredients, and don't work very well. And can in fact be quite nasty.

So you need a good supplier of natural, and safe, and effective skin care products. If you're interested in those that I've found that seem to be light years ahead of any others, click here.

And if you're interested in finding out more then here's a couple of pages about natural skin care and dangerous skin care products you might find interesting.

So Just Give Him A Real Sauna

I've written about giving your man a sauna before, I love saunas so that's just a gift that I'd love. Now of course most people wouldn't actually buy him a real sauna for a gift, but they'd get a bunch of sauna visits for example. Maybe 10 visits down at the local gym.

However I do think that a real sauna is also a great gift for him as well, though obviously more expensive. You have a number of choices for buying saunas, and if you're canny you can buy quite a cheap sauna online.

The cheapest saunas are infrared saunas, particularly portable infrared saunas. They are small and can be moved around so if as they are lightweight and portable they're cheaper.

So if you love the sauna and your man does too then why not buy him a full blown sauna? Go on, lash out. There are places to buy cheap saunas, I've been looking at one cheap sauna store which has listings from eBay, and I couldn't believe that some saunas were so cheap. Brand new too.

So don't just think about buying him a series of 10 visits to the sauna, consider buying him a real sauna, there are cheap sauna around and at less than you'd think, depending on what you buy. And of course if you buy one big enough for the 2 of you then you can use it just like him, or with him. A great opportunity to spend some quality time together.

Golf Travel Cases For Golfing Travelling...

Does your man love to play golf and to travel? Golf is about the most popular sport on the planet now, and golfing holidays are extremely popular too.

But there is one problem with a golfing holiday, how does he get his golf clubs to where he wants to go? Golf clubs are by their nature big and heavy, and difficult to transport. They rattle and bang together and can be prone to damage, and a new set is pretty expensive.

So perhaps there's a great idea there for a gift for your travelling golfing man. A golf travel case.

A golf travel case is a case for his golf clubs that protects them from damage no matter how roughly they are handled. A good golf travel bag will allow him to pack his clubsm and often quite a lot of his other golfing equipmentm like his golf shoes, and have it securely padded and locked and away from the prying eyes of people who might be tempted to steal something from his golf bag, like all his golf balls.

Travel with golf clubs, particularly air travel with golf clubs, can be a headache that can be relieved by the use of a good golf travel case, and that's why golf professionals use them, and why they might make a good golf gift from you, to him.

You can get soft golfing travel cases, and hard travel cases. For airline travel he needs a hard golf travel bag, it offers the maximum of protection to his vulnerable golf clubs.

So if your man is a golfing and travelling man, and you're looking for a golfing gift idea for him, consider a good golf travel case, it might take the headaches out of his golf travel.

The Friendship Stone Is On Special

I have written about the Friendship stone before. It’s a lovely idea. I have another blog about mens gifts and I’ve written about the Friendship Stone.

It’s one of the more unusual gift ideas around and I like it as a gift that is quite unusual, for either a man or a woman.

Well the people at the Friendship Stone have told me that they have offered their unique product at a special price for Fathers Day. 15% off.

That’s not bad so if you want to have a look at the Friendship Stone do so here.

Why not get dad something very ususual for Fathers Day?
Posted by peter11 on June 7, 2008 at 5:11 am

Would Your Man Like A Great Golf Gift? H...

Is your man a golf lover? Does he have everything you could ever imagine for golfing? Do you need a good golf gift idea for him? Why not custom logo golf balls?

What in the world are custom logo golf balls and why do they make a fine gift idea for a man (or woman)?

It's perfectly possible with the use of modern technology to print on golf balls. Print text, print a photo, print a corporate logo, anything you want, as long as it fits. And there are now a range of companies that offer you the option of buying your own custom logo golf balls.

There are many uses for logo golf balls and if you're an enthusiastic golfer you've probably already seen some of them. For example corporate logo golf balls, where a corporation puts it's own logo on a golf ball, are big business. They are used for corporate promotion at, say, trade shows or seminars where they are given away as corporate promotions. They are cheap and keep the corporate logo right in front of anyone who loves their golf and uses these logo golf balls when they play.

But logo golf balls can also make a fine gift idea. You can get photo golf balls for example, where a small photo is printed on a golf ball.

Think it would be a nice idea to give him a gift of a set of golf balls with your photo on them? No matter how many golf gadgets he already has he won't have golf balls with your photo on them will he?

Or perhaps a photo of his favorite dog? Or anything. With custom logo golf balls you can print anything you want on the golf ball as long as it fits.

And why not add a message from you? You can print a photo on one side and a message on the other. Can you think of a short sweet message to him you could put on the golf balls?

You can get all the major brands. So you can get titleist logo golf balls for example. And you can also get logo golf balls with the logos of most of the major sports teams as well, so if he's a football nut you can probably get him logo golf balls with the logo of his team printed on them.

There's lots of options for you if you're looking for a novel and unusual golf gift for your man if you consider a set of custom logo golf balls.

Have a look at http://customlogogolfballsreview.com/ to find out a bit more.

Give Him A Sauna When He's On Holidays....

I like saunas, sometimes. They are relaxing, it makes you slow down. Only problem is that regular saunas can be a little too hot for my liking.

Sometimes it's fine. If the temperature is a little lower than normal and noone has poured any water on the hot rocks then it isn't so hot and steamy.

Yes I know, a sauna is supposed to be hot and steamy isn't it? Well yes, but there are limits. Beyond a certain time I start to gasp. My wife, on the other hand, loves it as hot as it can get.

Maybe it's a boy/girl thing. I know that in many cases men seem to feel the heat much more than women. In summer on a hot day I'm dying while my wife is out there sitting in the sun. Maybe men feel the heat much more than women. I don't know, but I do know she revels in the sauna while I gasp most of the time.

And if you love a nice sauna but your man is a little like me and finds it too hot then there is an alternative. I've recently come across infrared saunas. A whatred sauna I hear you ask? An infrared sauna.

An infrared sauna is one which is heated by a different method than regular saunas. Regular saunas, or what is known as a Finnish or hot rock sauna, is one which works by means of heating the air, which is why I gasp.

An infra red sauna on the other hand, works by heating you the suana user, but not the air. How? By the use of infrared rays. You know infrared rays, that's what heats you every time the sun comes out from behind the clouds. And as it heats by infrared rays it doesn't make you gasp. It heats you, but not the air.

Infrared saunas can sometimes be known as FIR saunas. The FIR stands for far infra red, which is the wavelength of sunlight where the infared light it.

It seems that a good sauna has some health benefits. It's said that it makes it easier to lose weight, does all sorts of good things for your skin and cardio vascular system and lots lots more. Who knows, but a sauna is still a lovely time.

So if you love the sauna and you'd love your man to join you, but it leaves him gasping, treat him to an infrared sauna. He won't gasp and you may well find that he loves saunas as much as you do once he isn't feeling the heat so much.

It's a wonderful idea for the holidays. You're both relaxed, feeling good and have the time, treat him to a sauna, and if he feels the heat see how he goes with an infrared sauna.

Have a look at http://infraredsaunasguide.com/ to find out more.

What About Perfume As A Gift For Your Ma...

That's an interesting question isn't it. Do men like fragrances, and would they like to be given a perfume as a gift?

Most men, I think it's true to say, like fragrances, or perfumes, worn by their women. But would they like to wear a perfume themselves?

A lot of men do wear perfumes now, even if they're not aware of it. What is an aftershave for example, but a perfume with another name? It's just a masculine perfume, or smell.

And what about deodorants? They have a fragrance don't they? So there are many men out there who wear a fragrance and aren't bothered by it.

But what about giving a male perfume to him as a gift? Well that's a little different I suppose. Because it's a perfume, not an aftershave.

But I wear one from time to time, and like it.

So I think that the bottom line is that some men will appreciate a male perfume for a gift, but that it's the womans job to find out whether her man is one of those who would enjoy it.

Next question. What type of perfume? Now I'm not going to start recommending brand name perfumes, because I don't know a lot about them, and anyway, a perfume is a personal choice. However if you are going to buy him a fragrance so that you can give him a perfume as a gift you need to start with a cheap perfume. Just to see how he takes it.

After all you don't want to spend a bomb just to find he's not interested.

There are plenty of cheap perfumes available, there are lots of places where you can get discounted brand name perfumes at prices that would surprise you, both for mens and for womens perfumes.

So start with discount perfumes for your man, see what his reaction is, and take it from there.

Think A Geek Would Love A Fine Computer...

Looking for a gift for a man who loves his computer but has nowhere to put it? How about giving him a computer armoire?

It seems that everyone has a computer nowadays. And computer armoires are becoming very popular. But aren't they just the most useless piece of furniture that you could buy?

A computer is just about mandatory in modern times. If you're not on the net then you need to be, and it's a lonely house indeed that is without a computer.

And not just a computer. With it comes a whole lot of paraphernalia. Screens, printers, boxes, faxes, cables everywhere and so on.

Where to put it all?

Well of course you could just put it all on a computer desk, after all, that's what they're designed for. They aren't all that expensive. They house all your hardware quite comfortably, and although it mightn't look quite so good, it all goes in the study doesn't it?

Problem. What if you don't have a study? Or any room dedicated to equipment like computers. Modern living, and in particular high real estate prices mean that for many people a study is a luxury they can't afford. A home office is a room that just doesn't exist in most houses or apartments.

Enter the computer armoire. Computer armoires are a specifically designed piece of home furniture. They are designed with one purpose in mind, to house a computer and all it's paraphernalia in a way that disguises it completely from others who enter the room. And a good computer armoire, sometimes known as a computer cabinet, does it all whilst looking like a fine piece of high quality furniture that adds value to the room rather than looking out of place.

Good computer cabinets come in a range of sizes and shapes. From corner armoires to wall armoires, wide to narrow, a computer armoire houses your computer in a way that allows you to use it easily and comfortably at any time, but to cover it up at other times so that it appears there isn't a computer in the room at all.

A well designed cabinet has a place for every piece of computer equipment. Drawes, shelves, tiny spaces and pull out keyboard drawers, there's a place for everything. Height adjustable for all users, space for filing, space for all the cables and holes at the rear to allow them all to reach the power source, it's all designed into a fine computer armoire like a Broyhill or Sauder computer armoire.

And it can all be retracted and covered up at the fold of a door or 2. Opening doors should fold back against the sides for best use of space, and then shut to cover it all up.

And a good computer cabinet is a fine looking piece of furniture. Timber or timber veneer in such fine furniture timbers as cherry or walnut, they are designed to look as good in, say, your loungeroom or bedroom as any other furniture that you may have there.

Perhaps you've got some space in the corner for your armoire, buy a corner computer armoire for that space. Or perhaps a short amount of wall space is available. Buy a narrow wall armoire. They are versatile and good looking.

If you don't have a dedicated office or study at home a fine computer cabinet is almost a necessity. You can't just buy any old computer desk and put it right there in the lounge. It looks terrible and takes up way too much space.

So if you're wanting to put a computer in your home but don't have a study to put it in, then consider putting it right in the lounge or bedroom, and housing it in a fine quality good looking computer armoire. No one will ever know it's there when the doors are closed, and you'll be able to work to your hearts content when the doors are open.

A computer armoire is perhaps the most useful piece of furniture you could buy for your home. And it makes a fine gift for a man who loves his computer and needs somewhere to put it.

Buy Him A Motorcycle GPS System. He'll L...

Is your man a motorcycle rider? Does he get lost sometimes? Have you considered a motorcycle GPS system as a gift for him?

GPS navigation has come of age and motorcycle GPS is now a reality. There are a number of well known and high profile companies such as Tom Tom and Garmin who now offer dedicated motorcycle GPS navigation systems that offer the latest in high quality high tech navigation systems for bike riders to take the headaches out of long rides to new places.

GPS, or Global Positioning System technology, uses satellite signal cross referencing to determine exactly where the GPS user is on the planet, with extreme accuracy. This is useful, but when it is combined with modern mapping software as well it produces a superb navigation system that is light years ahead of any method of navigation we have used in the past.

A modern motorcycle GPS unit will mount on the handlebars and provide a 3 1/2 inch screen that displays a moving map of the roads along which the motorbike rider is riding. The rider can predetermine his ride before he sets off, input it into his GPS navigator and it will work out the best route.

As the map moves the rider can see all the required turns as they come up one by one. And many recent GPS motorcycle systems, like the Garmin Zumo 550 or the Tom Tom Rider 2 are combined with Bluetooth technology so that voice commands are directed right into an earpiece that the rider wears, so he can hear voice prompts telling him exactly where to turn to get where he is going.

There are dozens of options. Perhaps he'd like to plan a route that takes in each of the best fuel stops along the way, or accomodation, or perhaps other points of interest. The GPS will do it all for him, and tell him how to get there.

And with some units it is possible to provide real time traffic information, such as traffic jams, so that he knows what's happening, and his GPS can automatically route him around the traffic jam along the best route for him to avoid it.

Download it all later for keeping for future rides, or perhaps to share with his friends.

Perhaps he likes to listen to music. Upload his music files to his GPS and he can ride with music to accompany him. Perhaps hands free phone calls courtesy of the Bluetooth technology, or perhaps he's like to take some photos along the way and share them with his friends on his motorcycle GPS. It's all possible.

And much, much more. It's stunning what a modern motorcycle GPS navigation system will do, and all for well under $1000. Garmin and Tom Tom both offer units capable of all these features and more. High quality easy to mount dedicated motorcycle GPS navigators.

Oh, and if he drives a car he can mount it in his car for more sedate navigation as well, or perhaps handheld.

There's no doubt a modern motorcycle GPS is one of the best accessories he can ever have for his motorcycle.

Visit Hot Motorcycle GPS Deals for more information at http://motorcyclegpsdeals.com

Plus Size Lingerie As A Gift For Him

I’ve written before that I believe lingerie is a fine gift for a man. After all men love to see their women in lingerie, so if she buys some wonderful lingerie and wears it for him then it’s a win win situation. She gets some wonderful lingerie to wear and he gets to see her wearing it.

Now I believe that most women are a little larger than the traditional model who models most of the lingerie we see, that most women are what is euphemistically called “plus size”.

And I’ve found some wonderful and very sexy plus size lingerie, so for all those women out there who’d love to buy some lingerie for themselves, and for their men, but are a little larger than what is considered perfect, check out Hot Plus Size Lingerie. There’s something there for everyone.

And why not surprise him by wearing it for him when he’ll least expect it. I guarantee he’ll love it.

Fragrances. Just For Women?

Are fragrances just for women or do they make good gifts for men too?

Well in my view fragrances make great gifts for men. Some consider them effeminate, but I don’t, and I have one that I just love, purely because I like the smell.

There’s no difference in my view between a fragrance or a perfume and an aftershave. One just stings a little more than the other.

I’ve found a great site for cheap brand name perfumes. Check it out.

Christmas Gifts, And All Gifts, Mean Som...

We get caught up in the hype and razzle and conspicuous comsumption of Christmas very easily, and often I think we forget the meaning behind all those gifts.

Because yes, Christmas is about gifts, but it’s about a whole lot more that often isn’t remembered. Of course there’s the religious aspect, but that’s not what I wanted to talk about today.

It’s what we mean when we give a gift to someone, either at Christmas, or at any other time.

Of course it’s different for everyone, but for me the meaning behind the giving of a gift is a simple one.

To me it’s someone saying I love you to someone else. You’re important to me, my relationship with me matters, and I’m telling you with a gift.

Now that’s great, nothing wrong there. I just think that we get so caught up in it all that we forget that bit sometimes.

So make sure this Christmas you remember that bit too. And you make sure that the “I love you” message isn’t lost in all the clutter of Christmas. Don’t just say it with a gift, tell them, show it and live it in as many different ways as you can think of.

And make sure you, and your gift recipients, all have a wonderful Christmas filled with love.

My best wishes to all of you for Christmas.

Peter

Men Going Away Need Hot Holiday Gifts

Need a few great ideas for Holiday Gifts? There's a pretty good chance you do, Christmas is coming and so many people go away for a holiday at Christmas. So if you're looking for some great Christmas gift ideas for hima and he's travelling soon then holiday gifts make a good Christmas gift.

Or maybe he's just the type who travels a lot with work. A good holiday gift for him still makes a fine Christmas gift.

How about a power adaptor as a holiday gift for him? I'm sure you know about power adaptors, they allow him to plug his shaver in when he's confronted by a plug socket that isn't like the shaver plug.

It's not a very exciting holiday gift idea is it? Been there, done that.

But how about a power adaptor that allows him to plug his shaver in when he's in any one of 150 different countries? Hmmm, that's a little more interesting as a good holiday gift.

Ok there's more. How about a power adaptor that allows him the 150 countries, and charges most of his portable electronic devices.

Now you're talking holiday gift!

Here's a quote from the website:

"This is the lightweight, compact AC device that provides plug adaptation for over 150 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and Caribbean, and Australia. The plug configures to fit a variety of international sockets, and it has a built-in USB port that allows you to leave chargers for cell phones, digital cameras, iPod®s, and other devices at home. The device allows simultaneous AC and USB connection to charge two devices at once. An integral surge protector protects electronics from potential power spikes."

So it really does quite a lot more than just let him shave doesn't it? QUITE a bit more than just let him shave.

Now that's a holiday gift on steroids.

Get it at Hammacher Schlemmer. It's in the sports and leisure department.

And why not read some more of my suggestions on my main website about holiday gifts.
